T'ai Chi Ch'uan is the classical ancient Chinese exercise that promotes health, teaches self-defense, and enhances spiritual growth. The slow, graceful movements of T'ai Chi emphasize correct breathing, balance, posture, mental concentration and most importantly, relaxation. T'ai Chi Ch'uan (literally translated means the Grand Terminus Boxing) has been called meditation in motion, and is very fluid in movement. Ancient Chinese philosophy teaches that our natural energy source from within, C'hi, becomes more harmonized with all that of the universe, known as Tao, and integrates mind, body and spirit. The ancient Chinese martial arts of T'ai Chi Ch'uan and Kung Fu have seeded roots in nearly every martial art around the world. T'ai Chi Ch'uan provides our curriculum with a well rounded and balanced mixture of martial arts philosophy and body mechanics training.
