Ryukyu Kempo

This Okinawan style of Karate is a combination of Kyusho Jitsu - one second pressure point fighting and Tuite Jitsu - joint lock grappling...

Ryukyu Kempo, from Okinawa, combines Kyusho-jitsu (one second pressure point fighting) and Tuite-jitsu (joint lock grappling). The secrets of this ancient martial art are revealed in kata (forms comprised of defensive movements and strikes performed in sequential order to train automatic response).

Guardian Martial Arts is affiliated with Dillman Karate International. We study the theory of pressure point fighting that interprets the movements and techniques of katas (karate forms) as strikes or grapples on pressure points.  Techniques vary in effectiveness and can be used to stun, knock out, or render lethal consequences to an aggressor. The latter, being undesirable and used only in extreme self-defense situations, makes this pressure point system an effective, yet potentially non-debilitating self-defense system for the serious martial artist.
